Manchester United's new campaign started with so many links and questions about one of their players' future at the club following the disappointing end to their last campaign and rumored interest in him from other top teams.
Erik Ten Hag's arrival in the summer furthered triggered the speculation frenzy a step further shadowed the early days of Ten Hag's meeting with the press after taking up the managerial position. Ten Hag remained balanced and provided the best answers to the media questions.

When the season began shakily but Ten Hag and his team quickly settled into their stride as the season unfolded. The new look Manchester United was delivering results week in and week out for the Dutchman but according to the media, there was still a significant problem with his team.
His decision to not let Cristiano Ronaldo spearhead his project on the field of play was creating a distraction to the improvements that the squad was making under him. Subsequently, he had a fallout with the Portuguese star during the Tottenham win which became the media headlines rather than the win.
When he was questioned about Ronaldo's action after the game, he quickly pointed out that it would be addressed much later as the was currently celebrating a win. Ronaldo was subsequently given an internal one-game ban for misconduct much to the likening of his now-former senior teammates, who reportedly backed Erik Ten Hag's decision during that incident earlier in the season.
