At the finals whistle, it wasn't just a sigh of victory for Manchester United but a sigh of huge relief as they were able to survive the final 20 minutes of the game today. Old Trafford started off the game with huge expectations of their team.
They enjoyed a quick start to the game with a goal from Bruno Fernandes from the spot kick after a VAR decision. Manchester United got a favorable VAR check for a penalty following a handball from Will Hughes in the 18-yard box in the 6th minute.

Manchester United took the 1-0 lead into the break after missing several chances afterward to extend their lead. The second half saw better improvement from the Red Devils as Marcus Rashford extended the lead for Manchester United from an 18-yard finish.
But a Casemiro moment of madness put Manchester United's secure lead under threat as they were reduced to ten men for a Red card. Casemiro was sent off for violent misconduct against Will Hughes when both teams' players were having a fierce exchange over an incident.
Old Trafford was quiet the moment VAR called the referee to review an unseemly incident in the game and expected a huge decision to be made. Fans were furious at Casemiro for the Red card incident but also upset that only Casemiro was penalized in the scuffle when there were other defaulters in the incident. Casemiro will be missing the next three games for Manchester United.
