Manchester United continue to try to make as many sales as possible, after signing three players, the board needed to let go of players who represented a good income and that would help increase the budget with the idea of being able to continue signing at least a couple of reinforcements before the transfer window closes.

Fred was one of the players who was in the running to be transferred, the Brazilian midfielder arrived in 2018 when Jose Mourinho was still manager, the club at the time paid 59 million pounds to make the signing possible, with the hope that he could perform in the right way, as the Portuguese coach knew the qualities that the player could offer.

However, he was never able to establish himself as a midfield option and after the arrival of Erik Ten Hag on the bench, the Brazilian saw his playing time reduced even further, as the Dutch coach decided to reinforce the position by bringing in Casemiro and Mason Mount in successive years, leaving the Brazilian out of the picture.

So, this summer, one of the priorities was to sell several players, including Fred to increase the budget; so during this week the Red Devils received an offer from Fernerbahce for 15 million pounds, which they decided to accept yesterday with the intention of accelerating the process.
