Several Manchester United stars are away on international duty including those with limited game time at the club like Anthony Elanga, who joined up with his Swedish national teammates for the EURO 2024 qualifiers with the event taking place next year.

Elanga was benched in Sweden's 3-0 defeat to Belgium on home soil, with club teammate Victor Lindelof playing the full game as captain of Sweden. The defeat put Sweden at bottom of their group in the latest round of the EURO qualifying game.

The 20-year-old broke onto the scene during Jose Mourinho's time at the club and gradually grew into a first-team member under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has seen himself drop down the pecking at Manchester United under Erik Ten Hag, with very brief cameos.

In the winter market, Borussia Dortmund where heavily linked with an interest in signing the young winger on loan but Erik Ten Hag blocked off all outgoing transfers after the board changed their transfer plans by forcing him to only sign players on loan.

Does Elanga still have a future at Manchester Utd?

According to reports, Anthony Elanga's future at the club remains unclear. The 20-year-old spoke about his situation saying 'it's frustrating.  It's important for me to play. I'm focused on United now, then I'll talk to the club. I like the club but it's for me to play.' Elanga still has three years on his contract with the club and could fetch a decent transfer fee if sold in the summer.
