With club football across Europe currently suspended, Erik Ten Hag has taken a step back from his match-day activities to focus more on assessing his team's performance so far and identifying the areas in the team that needs improvement and potential signings that could help with that.
United chased a host of players in the summer as they wanted to fully back Ten Hag with his prized targets, some of which were acquired while they also missed out on a few. The team's overall balance has been the keen interest of Ten Hag to have options across the pitch.
According to the latest reports, Manchester United are considering bringing in competition for Diogo Dalot in the right full-back area with their eyes set on Netherlands' Denzel Dumfries who plays for Inter Milan in Serie A. Dumfries has been in great form at the World Cup with a MOTM award after providing a brace assist and scoring as well in the Dutch 3-1 win against the USA in the round of 16.
