It was obvious when Manchester United opted from bringing in a new manager midway through last season that they were planning some big for the summer and beyond. Then when the summer came the changes began to roll in one after the other.

A new manager was installed into the team to bring the changes, both on and off the pitch while a massive clearout was done as well to offload players who were deemed to not be a part of the club's desired new future under the new management.

Erik Ten Hag stripped down the squad of any guarantees as he began the rebuild by identifying the most important place and players for the team he wants to build. His message during his first presser was quite clear that he was not there to appease egos.

The Dutchman got to work and the result, though shaky at first began to take the set out shape within the team. A few players like Marcus Rashford and Diogo Dalot were earmarked as the pieces of the team style that Erik Ten Hag wants to play and how to go about getting it done.

WHAT DOES TEN HAG HAVE IN MIND FOR UNITED PLAYERS?

According to a recent report, Erik Ten Hag confirmed United's plans for their stars with expiring contracts. He revealed that both Rashford and Dalot will not be allowed to leave in the coming summer and would rather be offered contract extensions. He claimed that United has options to extend in the current deals and will be looking to exercise that right if the other options don't work.
