Manchester United have been unbeaten in their last nine games across all competition this season with seven win and two draws, which has helped build more momentum at Old Trafford. The energetic attacking football of Erik Ten Hag has gradually taken shape in his current setup with swift counter-attacking display in games against Arsenal, Tottenham, and Everton as perfect reference.
But not all is going as planned especially in the attacking area of United's play, with only 17 goals in 12 Premier League matches this season. The attacking line of the Red Devils has found it hard to come by chances as their attacking players and playmakers haven't synced under Ten Hag. A consecutive run of matches for the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen has only produced three assists.
Not Ronaldo but this player is getting the attention at United
Erik Ten Hag isn't satisfied with him and will loan him out
The lack of a creative outlet in the games so far this season has been one of the great undoings of Ten Hag's plans at United. Bruno Fernandes who has lit up the Premier League with consistent chance creations since joining in 2020 has only created five so far with just one assist. Eriksen on the other hand has played a deep role under Ten Hag which could be a reason for his poor returns as well.
Currently, two strikers, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are part of United's top three assist makers this season, as Bruno and Casemiro complete the top five. United has 17 big missed chances so far in the Premier League, which shows how drastic the situation is despite their beautiful results on paper.
With Bruno Fernandes out of form, fans believe it is only logical that Ten Hag makes the big call of dropping him and moving the more informed Eriksen up front and the midfield partnership to Casemiro and Fred or Scot McTominay in their next game. A win will be huge for United but a win with a free-scoring attack will be every fan's dream.
