The mid field for the team has improved with the arrival of Casemiro to the red devils, he has proven why he has a starting player at Real Madrid and now it seems that his position is covered for the rest of the season. But his performance is not going to be enough when it comes to playing on the weekend and in the middle of the week in an european competition.

That brings a neccesity to the team to reinforce the mid field to keep up and be competitive in every competition that they play, but the answer to this problem may be closer than it seems, because he is already on the team and he is making a comeback to the team.

Donny van de Beek seems closer to his recovery every single day, in his own words “I´m very busy with my recovery and everything is going well … I am doing a lot of indoor work and getting closer to the pitch, which is positive”.

The time expected for him to come back is still to be known but the feeling all around him is a positive one and we might expect to see him way sooner than the inital time was expected with this type of injury, despite that Manchester United needs to keep looking on the market for a possible replacement in case anyhting goes sideway with his recovery.

Plan B if necessary

At this point of the season it seems that Donny is the plan b, because the talks for another player to cover the midfield come up almost every single day, and the necessity to fill that gap is going to become more urgent if the team manages to end top 4 and qualify to the Champions League.
