Manchester United was given a quick reminder of how fast things can change in the Premier League after a humiliating defeat at Villa Park earlier today. The red devils were battered by Aston Villa's patient counterattacking football that saw them put two behind United in the opening fifteen minutes.

Ten Hag had planned to change things up in this game in a bit to get more goals from his attacking unit but the goals were dried out as United failed to score one themselves. Their only goal in the game was courtesy of an own goal by Jacob Ramsey.

United failed to create any meaningful chance in the game as their preferred playmaker Bruno Fernandes was forced to miss the game after picking up five yellow cards already this season. His absence was certainly felt as Ten Hag played a less Donny van de Beek upfront much to fans' surprise.

The loss come as an unexpected result as United was previously cruising through the games with nine beaten matches across all competition this season, which was backed by three straight clean sheets. The loss leave United in the fifth position, three behind the fourth position.

WILL BRUNO BE BACK IN THE NEXT GAME?

The Portuguese star is expected to be back for their next game against Fulham in the Premier League and will be hoping his time away would have helped him cool off any pressure on his shoulders for better output this season. So far he has only three goal contributions this season.
