Manchester United has been left in turmoil in the last 24 hours following the latest chapter in the United-Ronaldo fiasco after the club capped their final game before the World Cup with hard fought 2-1 win against Fulham. It was a breathtaking encounter and the result could have gone either way.

Meltdown begins all over Manchester as Ronaldo interview is teased to the world

According to reports, Ronaldo has no intention of going back to United after the World Cup and has set his sights on a return to the place it all began for him in Portugal, with his boyhood club Sporting CP. He started his football career at the club's youth level and went on to play for the great clubs in the world.

Ronaldo was linked with Sporting earlier in the summer after his camp revealed his desire to move to a Champions League club after United failed to qualify for his favorite tournament in the world. Sporting's manager was quick to dismiss their interest in him during the summer.

WILL SPORTING CP SIGN RONALDO NOW?

Well, with the never-ending takes and opinions of people in football about the recent teaser, it is safe to assume that United would most likely let him go and a return to Sporting CP seems like the most logical way for him to bow out at the club where it all began for him. The decision on United's part will be known in the coming days after the interview is released.
