The Dutch midfielder, part of the Ajax litter that was one step away from the Champions League final, has not been able to demonstrate his level at Old Trafford. On loan to Everton last season, Van de Beek has accumulated 294 minutes in 10 games this season.

Free agent in July 2025, injuries have been the great burden of the Dutchman in Manchester. On the exit ramp of the Reds entity, the footballer could return to Ajax. As Football Insider points out, the ajacied team is ready to repatriate its star. Signed for €39M in 2020, United expects to receive close to €28M for what was once one of the great European promises.

Donny van de Beek shared some pictures of his rehab indoors at the gym. In early January, the 25-year-old midfielder suffered a grueling knee injury during a game against Bournemouth at Old Trafford, forcing him to sit out the squad for the rest of the season.

Almost two months after undergoing surgery, the Dutchman shared a short video on his personal Instagram account, where he showed part of his rehabilitation indoors at the gym.

On January 13, Erik ten Hag confirmed the loss of his management, but spoke about his possible return to the courts for the start of the next season. After the international break in March, Donny will continue to support his teammates from the outside, pushing for them to win at least one more title this season.
