As fans continue to the exploits of Manchester United players at the World Cup, a cold silence is gradually creeping in at the club as the January transfer window draws nearer. Several stars will have to reassess their contract stands with the club.

Erik Ten Hag joined the club in the summer with the clear task of rebuilding the club to its high standards and has so far begun to deliver on the groundwork expected of him. There's more unity and harmony within the club and the players.

Several first-team regulars have had their future clearly defined for them by Erik Ten Hag and also the club, and have been carried along every step of the way. It was why the club outrightly denied PSG any chance of poaching Marcus Rashford in the summer.

Currently the like so David De Gea, Fred, Luke Shaw, and a few others are currently running down into the last few months of their contract at the club. The two of the trio mentioned have been undisputed starters under Erik Ten Hag.

WHAT IS UNITED DOING ABOUT THE RENEWALS?

So far nothing has been done by the club to address the situation despite the clamor for clarity by some of the players about their future with the club. New reports suggest that the club and Ten Hag have agreed to drag out the contract situation till after the World Cup break but are already also scouting replacements for these possibly soon-to-be vacant spots in the team.
