Manchester United are finally back to club action as they get ready to play their first game since November in front of their home fans in a must-win encounter to keep their season targets alive as they compete on all fronts.

The Red Devils players returned to full fitness a few weeks back to begin their preparation for the presumption of club football after a six-week enforced break by the commencement of the 2022 FIFA World Cup last month.

The club began their preparation in Spain on a week-long intense training exercise as well as club friendlies with locals around their camp to build their competitive edge as quickly as possible to have a good start in the season restart.

Erik Ten Hag's squad then returned to Carrington recently to continue their preparation while they gradually reintegrated the players returning from their participation at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, which was the first-ever winter World Cup event.

Manchester United are reportedly in ready-to-go mode after a series of inter-squad training yesterday to keep their fitness and excited about today's game. The Red Devils will be facing Burnley later today in the next round of the EFL Cup. They will be hoping to feature a few of their returnees like Rashford and Maguire in the encounter.
