Erik Ten Hag is looking to get rid of some players that he will no longer have for next season, the sale of these players would be of utmost importance for the coach and for Manchester United, who are looking to increase the budget to bring in new signings.

Fred is one of the players who is no longer in plans for the future, after 5 seasons for the club, his passage was not as expected for United, as for the fans, so Ten Hag would seek to sell him and recover at least some of the 60 million invested in the Brazilian player, after his arrival from Shaktar Donestk in 2018.

With the recent addition of Mount to United, the midfield position would be very crowded, so in addition to his performance, Fred would not have many opportunities to play, at least not in the Premier League or in the Champions League, for that reason the Brazilian player would also be interested in seeking the opportunity in another team to get playing time and more regularity.

One of the first clubs that have already shown interest in Fred is Fulham, the English team could be willing to pay the 20 million that United is asking for him; however, recently another club has come to light that wants to get the services of the Brazilian midfielder, that team is AS Roma led by Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho wants to reunite with Fred

In the 2018 season when Fred arrived at Manchester United, the manager at that time was the Portuguese Jose Mourinho, who bought for 60 million the Brazilian footballer, after the departure of Mou in that same season, Fred remained at the club; now and after 5 years they can be reunited at AS Roma, as the Italian team has shown interest in signing Fred for next season.
